L'ADRIA CLARIFYING SERUMis inspired by the gentle purifying effect of the sea.

The water droplets of this serum contain the essence of the sea, algae, and extremolites – special molecules that help marine organisms survive in extreme conditions, along with purifying BHA or salicylic acid.

Formulated with 2% BHA in an acidic environment, the serum penetrates and purifies pores, while extremolites protect the skin from the potential negative effects that often occur when using BHA products – peeling, dehydration, irritation and increased sun sensitivity. Additionally, the serum is free of ethyl alcohol and uneco-friendly petrochemical solvents, which can dry out the skin.

The most famous extremolite is ectoine. It is found in halophilic organisms, which live in high salt concentrations. Although it was discovered in a salt pond in the desert, ectoine is also found in marine organisms. This process can be thought of as a pool of seawater on the coast gradually evaporating and forming salt crystals. Ectoine and other extremolites, such as betaine, create a hydrating shield around cellular structures and molecules, protecting them from stressful external influences, including UV radiation. This is especially important when using exfoliants, which reduce the thickness of the skin's stratum corneum, increasing its sensitivity to the sun.
